A large number of devotees thronged his shrine to offer Fateha and observe his death anniversary amid tight security.

While talking to our sources, assistant manager of the shrine Riaz Ahmed said that tens of thousands of people across the country would visit the shrine during three-day celebrations. He said that Mehfil-e-Sama, Hamd-o-Naat, Qawwali and lunger on the final day were scheduled.

In collaboration with Auqaf department, law enforcement agencies, have taken solid fool proof security measures. In this regard, separate parking, walkthrough gates, metal detectors, walkways and close circuit television cameras were installed. All the surrounding was being monitored at a central control room.

The day was commenced according to the custom of 'Chadar Poshi,' by Auqaf Minister Dr Rafiq Bhanbar, along with provincial secretary Syed Abid Shah and other officials in the presence of tens of thousands of pilgrims.

KARACHI: The 1281st Urs of famous saint Abdullah Shah Ghazi has started at his shrine on Thursday.
