“The song clearly shows the anger depicted by a singer over the Tibetan issue. When I heard the song for the first time, I related it with the Kashmir situation. But here in Kashmir we are restricted to express our opinions over any issue. It is definitely adding fire to the anger of the people of Kashmiri,” said a local youth, Manzoor Wani (name changed).

Even as people all over the country are dancing to the tunes of ‘Sadda haqq aithey rakh’, a chartbuster from Ranbir Kapoor’s latest flick – Rockstar, people in Kashmir are using the same as an expression of anger during protests.

Eyewitnesses said youngsters during street protests on Eid-ul-Adha earlier this week in Anantnag and other places were heard shouting ‘sadda haq aithe rakh’. While the head-banging chartbuster from ‘Rockstar’ showing waving of Tibetan flag has already become a controversial issue, in Kashmir, on the other hand, it has become an inspiration for the protesters to vent out their anger.
