Last week we mulled over people being called to follow God.

One story was about the prophet Jonah, who heard God’s call and ran in the opposite direction. They were not academics or even overtly religious. Just normal people wanting to know God in their lives. What is heartening in this encounter is that they were simply regular people, who would go on to spread the message of God’s love to the world. They dropped their nets and followed immediately, becoming his first disciples. The other story was of the fishermen being called by Jesus as he walked along the beach. Jesus showed them how.

This spring, all private school graduates of the class of 2011 gained admission to their first-choice high schools, including Brophy College Preparatory, Notre Dame Preparatory, Phoenix Country Day School, Xavier College Preparatory, and boarding schools across the United States.

The first concert will be performed by the internationally renowned Collegium Regale at All Saints Church, Wyke Regis, on Thursday March 29th at 7.30 pm.

Three weeks later the second concert will be performed at All Saints Church on April 21st at 7.30pm by the Grove Singers, an accomplished chamber choir with an impressive record of concerts mainly in the South East of England and in Europe.

WEYMOUTH: Choral concerts to raise funds for churches TWO choral concerts will be held for the All Saints with St Edmunds Spring Choral Concert Festival in Weymouth.

Collegium Regale is a close harmony group of choral scholars from the internationally famous choir of King’s College, Cambridge.

The events will help raise funds for the two churches of All Saints and St Edmunds.
